DIY Tales – I started appreciating the things that were in Bangalore and my life changed forever!

” I grew up in a very comfortable and family oriented home. My parents loved their kids, they love being with their kids. Even today I talk to my parents five times a day. People don’t get that. And every time my dad calls I talk to him for an hour. I’m that close to my parents. When I moved to Bangalore, I wanted to leave within a year. Eventually I realized that life is such that someday my parents won’t be there. There is a family you are born in and there is a family you find for yourself. Someday even I have to start a family. So then I started to open up my thinking and suddenly I started appreciating the things that were in Bangalore and my life changed forever! ”

DIY Tales – I can’t forget the moment I finished my graduation and met my friends for the last time.

“I can’t forget the moment I finished my graduation and met my friends for the last time. It was a phase when I was growing into a man. The last few moments with my entire bunch of friends who had become family, one that I chose. The sense of being together for the last time. That was one thing that changed my life and the way I look at things. It gave me a new perspective. I was the lead vocalist in my band back in college. When I sing or compose music I feel like a different person. I feel like a much more relaxed, calm person.”

DIY Tales – I have been with my wife for 23 years, it’s difficult to imagine my life without her.

“I have been with my wife for 23 years, it’s difficult to imagine my life without her. Evolution of love is so beautiful, it grows so much it is very difficult to quantify it or express in words. Five years ago we decided to come to India and it’s the most crazy country in the world. I come from Europe, its culture is mixed with economy. And then you have India, it’s a mix of spirituality, commerce and the blend in India is crazy. I was 26 when I came to India for the first time. And after a couple of months itself India caught on to me. We have traveled around in India so much. I have an uncle living in Tamil Nadu, so first time I came to Tamil Nadu I went to visit my uncle. We had no idea what to expect from India. Then we started traveling around. And we always discover something we never expect. That is the attraction of India” Tale-David

DIY Tales – Traveling alone is a good thing to do and you get to meet so many people

“When I first traveled to India alone it was my first visit, 3 years ago. I always wanted to come to India and I’d been quite interested in spiritualism and all that kind of stuff, and India always appealed to me so I signed up to fund an organization. I remember my first time, even on the plane I was talking to Indian people and I was so excited. When I got here I went straight to Jaipur. I loved it so much, traveling alone is a good thing to do and you get to meet so many people.”

DIY Tales – People take relationships for granted these days, the generation is like that.

People take relationships for granted these days, the generation is like that.

I am trying to control and change my possessive nature. Being over possessive also leads to silly fights and misunderstandings. I would suggest and advice people to be possessive in their own way but being over possessive will only ruin relationships.

One thing I really like about my partner is that he keeps updating me wherever he goes or whatever he does, be it at midnight or in the morning. Whether I am free or not he knows that I am there. He calls me up, he texts me, he keeps me occupied and that’s one thing I really like about him.

So far I have travelled to a lot of places working as a freelance model. I started 2 years ago and I’m still working on it. We don’t have that kind of publicity right now in India but hopefully we are working on it so that people know about us and transgendered are accepted.
